Awujale of Ijebuland Disapointed GEJ

  One of the the leading traditional rulers in Yorubaland, Oba Sikiru Adetona the Awujale of Ijebuland disappointed Mr President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday. Awujale refused to amke any comment that would suggest support for GEJ re-election bid. Rather the traditional ruler said he is an institution and a father to all.He has told his people to vote for the right people with the right manifesto not corrupt and incompetent leaders.   Oba Adetona became the traditional ruler of the ancient town in 1960 at the age of 26. He is a first cousin to one of Africa's richest men listed on Forbes, Otunba Mike Adenuga.

To many Nigerians, this has been long in coming.Adenuga who is making the list for the first time is worth $2 Billion (US DOLLARS). Unlike last year when it was only business magnate, Alhaji Aliko Dangote that made the list following the removal of Femi Otedola (another billionaire and boss of Zenon Group who was listed two years ago), The 2011 forbes list goes a long way to show that Adenuga is indeed the 'Gold Digger' as he calls himself. Mike who was once a taxi driver in the United States of America was born by into the influential Adenuga family in Ijebu Igbo. Adenuga's first cousin, Oba Sikiru Adetona is the Awujale of Ijebuland (Awujale is the title of the paramount traditional leader of the Ijebu people in south west Nigeria). The money bags are expected to lead the pack of Billionaires and millionaires who will raise money for the execution of national and international campaign for Mr. Goodluck Jonathan in the forthcoming election. It would be recalled that most of these businessmen have been in the forefront of donations for the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) since inceptions of the fourth republic in 1999. Meanwhile, Bahorun Dele Momodu the presidential candidate of the National Conscience Party have asked the billionaires to stay off the presidential campaign of Jonathan, insisting that using their resources to support the candidature of President Jonathan's  campaign is not in public interest.
