The ceremony took place at the City People Magazine corporate headquarters near Charly Boy Bus Stop, Gbagada. They were presented their awards last week with several others but today is a grand reception to celebrate their achievement. Star actors,actresses and comedians such as Bukky Wright,Saheed Balogun, Emeka Ike and Gbenga Adeyinka the first were at the ceremony.Others include Funsho Adeolu, Ada obi,Ireti Osayemi,Biola Okeowo, Ope Olusaya,Iyabo Ojo,Mercy Aigbe,Alariwo of Africa,D Don,Lola Shittu,Mandy and others too numerous to mention. The awardees were very happy at the turn out of people at the grand reception for them.They thanked Mr.Seye Kehinde, publisher of City People magazine and their fans for the recognition. Funke Akindele's husband wrote on Facebook that they have both gone their seperate ways due to irreconcilable circumstances. Funke Akindele's wedding was one of the biggest in the Nigerian movie industry. He wrote "It's with heavy heart that am announcing the separation of me nd ma wife Mrs olufunke akindele,we've both agreed to go our separate ways coz of irreconcilable differences.we still best of friends nd we 4ever remain gud friends."

Not one given to much airs around her, she triggers off the interview by saying, “I am too down-to-earth, unassuming and I remind myself that no matter the glitz and glamour, I am still Funke Akindele.” So, what’s new about her? One of the many surprises is the fact that the actress will be flaunting her dance style, a side many didn’t know she has.  Actress Funke Akindele denied that she was raped and thoroughly molested after she was robbed recently. In an interview she granted Stella Dimoko Korkus recently, the actress who is popular for her hilarious role in the movie-  ‘Jenifa’, disclosed that she was never raped as reported by an online medium. She said it was shocking and totally disheartening that the writer of the said story did not get in touch with her before publishing such damaging report. The award winning actress said that she would go to any length to seek a legal redress on the matter.  In the past, Funke disclosed that people have so many things about her, especially the period when it was reported that she was allegedly pregnant for fellow actor, Femi Adebayo . Funke also disclaimed as untrue the report that she had fibroid. Top actress, Funke Akindele-Bello just shared the story of how she was harassed on a movie set in Lagos by area boys.It would be recalled that another Yoruba actress, Kemi  Afolabi was recently brutalized and hospitalized after some violent area boys came to her movie location. Area Boys as they are often called, are group of young men usually jobless, who harass and intimidate people in order to extort money. Their targets are usually celebrities or even passerby. The “Jenifa’s Diary” star shared a video of the incident on her Instagram page.According to Funke, it is bad and government must do something to stop this kind of harassment.
