Chude Jideonwo, one of the directors of Redstrat (Organisers of Future Awards and producers of Rubbin' Minds on Channels Television in Nigeria, buried his father on Saturday 7 June 2008.
The event took place in Obokpa Village in Aniocha North Local Government,Delta State.www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com gathered that the late Ifeayin Jideonwo was a former staff of African Petroleum and Nigerian Ports Authority before his death at the age of 54.
Chude, the only child of the deceased was ably supported by friends who travelled in chartered vehicles to Delta State.Chude, a lawyer by training was showing off as a 'brave man' until it was internment time.He wept uncontrollably. People around were also moved to tears in sympathy.
Apart from the burial, it was an interesting trip to Obokpa. He roved until we got into the palmwine hut.Watch out for the gist on this blog.
Chude is a nice guy and he got the support from us.I would have stayed back because of the death of Late Baba Adinni of Nigeria,Alhaji Wahab Iyanda Folawiyo that day but...Chude means so much to alot of us.I would have dashed to his Queens Drive,Ikoyi because he was also buried on that same friday.Unfortunately, I couldn't locate a cybercafe in Obokpa. Lagos ladies are already talking about what they call 'party of the decade' that would happen later.Trust, we will bring you all the pictures once a choose the date. Abah ( the favorite wife of the late Baba Adinni and mother of Segun Awolowo jnr) would no doubt miss her husband a great deal.Folawiyo would have been 80 in 8 days times. Adieu Baba Adinni!

ReplyDeleteso u were looking for a cybercafe? ha...that's my local government (Aniocha)....
u have a better chance of finding a cybercafe in Asaba or Agbor
So that Abbah Folawiyo's husband is dead??? Kai and she so much loved that man after her fiance's death, that is, Segun Awolowo Jnr. late dad. She went through a lot during that era when she lost her son's dad. Well, Almighty God knows best.
ReplyDeleteMay God grant her the fortitude to bear her irreparable loss in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
