WHN SOUNDCITY PRESENTED NEW VJs

Story & photos by Niyi Tabiti
Chief Reporter

Remember we kept you very much to date when the screening for new VJs on Soundcity, a top music channel on various television stations in Nigeria. Those who were eventually picked and the old hands that were ratained were formally unveiled to the press last Sunday at Jade Chinese Restaurant in Victoria Island,Lagos.
Some of those who made the list are Pearl,Titi Adelagun,Derele (retained),S.Dot (retained) and Yinka.
Chinwe was, however, dropped. We spoke with the Chinwe and she said there was no problem. She,however, confirmed that she is still with Soundcity as a presenter. It was a night of glitz and humour. The VJ's also used the opportunity to answer questions on their expectations. There was also a dinner.
That night, I saw former Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries,Festus Odinmegwu. He came to have dinner with a 'friend'.I also saw Donald Duke, former governor of Cross River State. He came to hangout with a friend.

  5. stumbled on this article on your blog....let me commend your intellectual prowress, its second to none!
i havent seen any other soundcity presenter save for the dynamic Derele who i feel is not made for this country. His personality is overwhelming and he has interviewed me a couple of times at A-list events and i tell you, he makes you feel comfty with him and with him quizzing you,you really look forward to the interview!
i hope the enigma he works for realizes this and holds him tight as i want to take him abroad with me.
