NIGERIAN IMMIGRATION SERVICE DEPORTS TOP RADIO PRESENTER,DAN FOSTER

Dan Foster, a popular Radio presenter and one of the top guys behind Inspiration FM,has been deported from Nigeria. The news broke last weekend and it was confirmed on Monday and it was also reported in today's edition of Encomium magazine.
www.niyitabiti.blogspot.com gathered that the American who was recruited from the United States of America by the management of Cool FM got more than he bargained in the hands of the men of the immigration who refused all to allow him stay a day further in Nigeria last Friday. The deportation of Dan Foster was allegedly facilitated by his Cool FM, his former employer.Cool Fm did not find the way Dan left the company to join Inspiration Fm owned by Erastus Akingbola the Vice Chairman of Intercontinental Bank Plc.The company vowed that they would have him deported from Nigeria because in the first place he got his work permit through them and his stay permit has expired.
Dan's excuse that he is got married to a Nigeria and that they even have an issue together did not hold water as Immigration officials insist that he should go back to America and them re-apply to come back to Nigeria in the proper way.

  6. Wow!!! These Lebanese guys have serious bad belle. Who gave those Lebanese people Nigerian passports in the first place. We have foreigners running our country. All because Dan went to another network. Cool FM is really rubbish right now anyway, all the good presenters have left, Dan and Olisa the most professional and experienced presenters left and no one is listening to Cool FM anymore. Everyone is now listening to Inspiration with Jazz B, Kemistry and the rest. Eratus Akingbola is well connected, Dan will be back in a second. Good will always overcome evil...ALWAYS! Dan we wish you well.

  7. It breaks my heart to hear this, that Dan Foster has been Deported back to America.I admit I personal will miss the guy but there are laws. And like the laws in America are greater than any citizen or immigrant so do laws in my beloved country, Nigeria. If Dan foster doesn't have work permit to work legally in Nigeria then the right thing has been done.It is high time we started like a country with sovereignty. But Why would Cool FM his erstwhile radio station choose now to tell the immigration agency that the guys work permit has expired? The management of Cool Fm should also be sanctioned for having him earlier without legal papers. this is a case of shear envy and revenge, it Belittles the management of Cool Fm. Shame on Cool FM. and If Dan returns then even bigger shame to them, for they would have succeeded in making a hero out of the guy. UP Dan, Shame on Cool FM!

  8. I definitely agree with "Michael Agu's" comment. The process seems questionable, as much as Laws are to be respected!
Niyi thanks for the frequent updates on your blog!

  9. If his work permit was sponsored by Cool FM, once he left their employ his visa was null and void. He should have secured another visa for himself, maybe through his new employer or apply for naturalization. If you're here in the USA, and you are being sponsored by an employer, the day you decide to quit is the day your immigration status changes and you're OYO.

  10. if naija could stickly to the law and practise it correct, then we could make a change.

  11. if naija could adhere to their strictly and apply it where necessary, then we could make a better naija.

  12. This is so ridiculous. I'm a big supporter of people following and respecting laws anywhere, but the situation makes no sense to me. The only time when I'm aware of the laws in Nigeria is when it is used for their selfish purpose. C'mon now, maybe if Nigerian worried more about laws against embezzlement and corruption in the government, or illegal acts in the country maybe I will take them seriously. If they are gonna deport Dan Foster, they should deport all the illegal Lebanese in the country also, that's how you know there is more to this story than what I read. If his visa is expired, can't he just file for a new one, instead of deporting him. Anyways, if he really got deported, it might even be better for him to come back to the States.

  13. That's funny o. But i thin k it makes sense, our rules n regs need to be respected too.
And his life isn't 'F'ed up as some1 said, at least he still has a chance to come back into nigeria,in a proper way.
