JONATHAN SWEAR IN NEW MINISTERS:ALISON-MADUEKWE IS NEW PETROLEUM MINISTER, AGAGA IS NEW FINANCE MINISTER

Olusegun Agaga has been sworn in as the new Finance minister in Nigeria. A former senior executive with Goldman Sach, Agaga's road to becoming a ministerial nominee almost met a brickwall when members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State accused former President Oluseegun Obasanjo of imposing his nominee on them.However, Agaga was well applauded when he answered questions durning screening at the Senate (Upper arm of Nigeria's legislative chamber).He proved himself as a thorough bred professional with something to offer the government of Nigeria.
Diezani Allison-Maduekwe was made Nigeria's new minister of Petroleum. The former minister of transportation who clinched the petroleum ministry once worked with Shell Petroleum Development Company.Alison-Madueke hails from Yenogoa in Bayelsa state, one of the biggest oil producing states in Nigeria.Despite stiff opposition, she got the appointment.According to information, the former minister was a product of acting president Goodluck Jonathan's nomination.
Meanwhile the Group Managing Director of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Alhaji Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo has been sacked by acting President Jonathan Goodluck. He was replaced by Alhaji Sheu Ladan.
At the time of filing this report, gistmaster gathered that Professor Dora Akuyili retained her position as the minister of information.Former minister of state for Finance, Alhaji Jubril Martins-Kuye was appointed the minsiter for commerce and industry,Abubakar Sadiq Mohammed is to handle Ministry of Culture and Tourism,Henry Odein Ajumogobia is the new Minister of Foreign Affairs,Adetokunbo Kayode was appointed new Minister of Defense.Senator Daggash is minister of Works,Shamusideen Usman is minister of National Planning,Sulaiman Bello is Minister of Health.
