Baba Suwe has been released today from the custody of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) after spending 24 days in detention based on suspicion of trafficking in hard drugs.
Baba Suwe who was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport on his way to attend a ceremony in Paris, France in October was ordered to be released some on Tuesday by the Justice Yetunde Idowu of the Lagos High Court.
The bail condition of N500,000 and one surety in like sum was provided and Baba Suwe was released. However, a source close to the Yoruba popular actor said he might not be going home for security reasons. Beside, Baba Suwe need to rest and he would not have the capacity to attend to the huge tun out of visitors who might want to pay him solidarity visit.
