Jonathan commiserate with Obasanjo over sister's death

  President Goodluck Jonathan's close associate, Kola Adeshina just bought a multimillion Naira mansion in Ikoyi. Adeshina is a Nigerian millionaire and MD of Sahara Power,a major electricity distribution company in Nigeria.    Kola Adeshina (second left) and others   Following the privatization process, Kola Adeshina's Sahara Power acquired Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company, the largest distribution network in the country.Sahara is also in charge of Egbin Power Station, the largest power generation plant in partnership with a Korean company.  The Ikoyi mansion,which according to The Capital is in Osbourne Estate, is a wonder on earth.It is said to have cost him several millions of Naira.   Those who know the cost of property in prime areas in Ikoyi will tell you that if you are not super rich, you should just forget it.

Awujale of Ijebuland Disapointed GEJ

  One of the the leading traditional rulers in Yorubaland, Oba Sikiru Adetona the Awujale of Ijebuland disappointed Mr President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday. Awujale refused to amke any comment that would suggest support for GEJ re-election bid. Rather the traditional ruler said he is an institution and a father to all.He has told his people to vote for the right people with the right manifesto not corrupt and incompetent leaders.   Oba Adetona became the traditional ruler of the ancient town in 1960 at the age of 26. He is a first cousin to one of Africa's richest men listed on Forbes, Otunba Mike Adenuga.

BREAKING NEWS:PRESIDENT JONATHAN SACKS NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER,OTHERS

The news fast making this headlines now is that Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan has finally sacked the national security adviser, General Andrew Owoeye Azazi (retd).He has been replaced by Col. Sambo Dasuki, also a retired military man.Unlike Azazi who hails from the South-South, Dasuki's profile shows he is from the Sokoto caliphate.It is widely believed that he would use his influence in the northern part to solve the escalating rate of terror in the north. Also sacked alongside Mr.Azazi,according to reports are, minister of defense,Haliru Mohammed.We also heard that the Chief of Defense staff, Air Mashall Oluseyi Pentrin The security chiefs were relieved for obvious reasons-inability to find solutions to the escalating problems of Boko Haram bombings and violence in major parts of northern Nigeria

PRESIDENT JONATHAN TO RESHUFFLE CABINET

 Nigeria's President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is expected to reshuffle his cabinet very soon. According to report monitored on punchng.com , Mr. President wpuld be dropping three ministers due to poor performance.Sources told the Nigerian newspaper that this would be a prelude to June 2012 when another batch of ministers appointed into government would be sacked.  Farida Waziri, the Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), who was relieved of her job yesterday morning by the Nigerian government said she is yet to receive her sack letter.   In a short interview she granted a national newspaper, The Punch, Mrs. Waziri said she heard the announcement of her removal from office on television like every other person.   She told a correspondent that no one has communicated the new development to her in writing. Reasons for her sack? Well, some key players in international financial crime bursting agencies are not contended with the way she has been playing her role in EFCC but that is not to say she has not done anything at all. -Niyi Tabiti

 President Goodluck Jonathan woke Nigerians up with a shocker this morning with the sack of Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC) boss Mrs. Farida Waziri. According to announcement made by the government through the president's spokesperson, Dr. Reuben Abati, Waziri was relieved of her job and an acting chairman in the person of Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde has been appointed acting chairman of the anti-graft agency. Gistmaster gathered that the sack of Waziri and appointment of Lamorde as EFCC acting Chairman takes immediate effect.  Lamorde's profile in efcc started durning the time of former chairman of the commission, Malam Nuhu Ribadu. He was the director of operations.
