Dimeji Alara, the famous stylist and editor in chief at Mania Magazine escaped death by whiskers when suspected hired assassins stormed his Lagos home on 29 July 2011. Alara told blogger, Stella Dimoko Korkus that he was shocked to the marrows of his body when the hoodlums invaded his residence,demanding for money. They also told him that he would be killed because that was their aim. They kept asking for money as if they had info from somewhere that he had a substantial amount at home but there was little, he narrated. Priddy bought Bacchus when the original owners were leaving Nigeria many years ago. Gistmaster gathered that Olu Priddy died in the UK on Friday 15 July 2011 after battling with cancer for sometime. He was a former director with John Holts, and a major stakeholder in African Practice R and B, amongst other high profile companies. From what we gathered, Priddy's children, Oona, Louise,Sean and Dean are headed for UK. A source told gistmaster.com that the remains of the businessman would be interned in the UK.
