The Nigeria Police in Delta State, on Sunday night confirmed that they have rescued Super Eagles player, Christian Obodo from the abductors who snatched him at gun point. The midfielder who has not played for the Eagles in recent years was early Saturday kidnapped by four unidentified gunmen

 Nigeria's former FIFA member Amos Adamu has lost his appeal against a three-year ban over World Cup bid bribes. The ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has confirmed the FIFA ban and even said that the sanction was 'relatively mild given the seriousness of the offence'. Adamu was banned by FIFA's ethics committee following a Sunday Times investigation when he was secretly filmed by journalists, posing as lobbyists, asking for 800,000 US dollars to influence his vote for the 2018 World Cup. CAS said in its ruling: 'The CAS panel stressed that it was of crucial importance that top football officials should not only be honest but should evidently and undoubtedly be seen to be honest. 'With respect to the behaviour of Dr Adamu, the CAS panel was comfortably satisfied that he was far from actively and unambiguously refusing the improper offer set forth by the alleged lobbyists.  Samson Siasia,the head coach of the super eagles,Nigeria's senior nation team who was sacked recently and replaced by Coach Stephen Keshi , has dragged the Nigeria Football Federation to court over alleged breach of employment contract.  Siasia who has filed a suit at a federal high court in Abuja said there was a need to enforce his fundamental human rights as the football federation also failed to pay him his salaries and allowances regularly. At the moment,they are still owing him.   Musa Ahmadu the secretary general of NFF confirmed that it is true they are still owing Siasia but promised that all his outstanding bills would be paid before the end of the year.  Siasia was sacked after the country failed to qualify for the African Cup of nations football tournament.

Few days after the sack of coach Samson Siasia, the Nigeria Football Federation has appointed coach Stephen Keshi as the new coach of the super eagles. Keshi is not a new to the job. He was once the coach of the team before he was also sacked. Keshi was a former captain of the Nigeria Super Eagles for many years.  Gistmaster gathered the appointment of Keshi was made today after an executive meeting of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in Abuja.   Keshi is back!  The question on the lips of many people is would 'Oliseh and others that wanted the position badly support their man?' Samson Siasia the Coach of Nigeria's senior team, Super Eagles, has been sacked. Obviously,Siasia was sacked as a result of the super eagles' team inability to qualify for the African Cup of Nations. This is the first time Nigeria will not be going for the African cup of nations since 1986. The President of Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Aminu Maigari, gistmaster gathered was in support of Siasia's sack.  Siasia took over from Austin Eguavon, another ex-international who was also sacked from the senior team based on below expectation performance.
