  On Monday, January 30, 2012 MTV VJ and her husband Ozoemena Mbanefo welcomed their first child at Emory Midtown hospital Atlanta. Lincon Munachiso Mbanefo came into the world at exactly 7.55am, and several celeb friends took to their BBM status and twitter accounts to congratulate the young couple thereby making a spontaneous announcement. Cynthia exchanged vows with Ozoemena Mbanefo on October 23, 2010 at the Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos. Cynthia remains MTV’s only Nigerian VJ; the 26-year old computer science graduate from Ebonyi State University first came to public attention after winning a nationwide MTV VJ Search in November 2007. Cynthia Mbanefo currently combines her MTV duties with high profile gigs as a radio DJ and actress, with her own radio show syndicated on 40 radio stations across Nigeria; she also stars in the MNET TV series 'Tinsel' as “Ify”.
