Court sentenced Policeman to death for killing Pure water seller

A Rivers State High Court has sentenced one Inspector Samuel Timothy of the Nigeria Police to death by hanging for shooting and killing a sachet water dealer, Onyekachi Nwasouba. The court’s ruling is coming about five years after Nwasouba was murdered by the police at about 5am on November 10, 2010 at No. 34, Old Aba Road, Port Harcourt. Nwasouba, who was a graduate of Industrial Chemistry, was branded an armed robber by the police while he was on his way to distribute his products to customers within the Port Harcourt metropolis. Gunmen kill Nigerian Businessman in South Africa

 A Nigerian businessman based in Johannesburg, South Africa, Mr Emmanuel Onyekaozuru, 50, was killed on Sunday by gunmen. The President of Nigeria Union in South Africa, Mr Ikechukwu Anyene, on Monday told newsmen in Pretoria, South Africa, that Onyekaozuru was shot by two gunmen. Bricklayer arrested with 5 guns

Two AK47 rifles and 17 magazines with 30 rounds, were last Wednesday recovered from the home of an armed robbery suspect, Kazeem Adebola. A bricklayer by profession, 30-year-old Adebola, who resided with his wife and child at Orisumbare Street, Ayobo, Lagos, had hidden the arms in the ceiling of his kitchen. The arms were allegedly being kept for a notorious armed robbery gang, said to be responsible for a robbery attack in Victoria Garden City last month and a host of other robberies at Ajah.
