RENAULT,SOUTH AFRICA FASHION WEEK SIGNS THREE YEAR SPONSORSHIP DEAL

Renault South Africa has announced a three-year sponsorship of the country’s prima fashionista event that will see the French marque’s clothing design protégées taking to the catwalk during the legendary SA Fashion Week (SAFW) this September.
This was contained in a statement by Renault South Africa and obtained by gistmaster.com today
“Design is an integral element of the Renault brand. It speaks to innovation, passion and technical savvy and
never more so than with the launch of our flagship products, in our 2012 Collection” says Fabien Payzan, vice-president of Marketing for Renault South Africa.

“The Renault-SA Fashion Week New Talent Search is a unique concept that will not only unmask South Africa’s hottest design talent but also provide this winning designer with a springboard to claim his or her place under the spotlight of SA’s vibrant and highly contested fashion arena.”

Dion Chang, SAFW convenor explains: “SA Fashion Week’s prestigious New Talent search is evolving with the global new world order that is fast emerging. Instead of asking designers to compete on a narrow, prescriptive design theme, we celebrate and respect the individual handwriting of each designer.

“The concept of the Renault-SA Fashion Week New Talent search therefore combines the new currencies of individualism as well as emotive engagement. Join us on this new journey as we search for the future legends of South African fashion!”

“Renault South Africa’s brand vision is 100 per cent people-centric with aspiration, ambition, sustainability and growth, its cornerstones,” adds Payzan adds Stanton.

“The  path between the present and a better future is dependent upon the progress that we make and at Renault, we aim to pioneer and lead the race towards positive people- and enviro-friendly progress.”

Renault South Africa has positioned its products, its services and its partnerships on the positive side of progress:  warm and intuitive design of products, the approachability and ease-of-use technology and ready access to a range of top quality products and services.

“Progress should not come at a cost and through our self-imposed social responsibility objectives, we strive to be as true as we possibly can to this philosophy,” concludes Payzan Stanton

“People-friendly progress is what the Renault-SA Fashion Week New Talent search is all about and with the creation of this innovative and exciting new platform, Renault South Africa is delighted to be taking a meaningful step towards turning our vision into a positive reality.”

The Renault-SA Fashion Week New Talent search is open to designers who are working to establish themselves and/or their brands in the South African fashion industry.
